Blackpool Football Club and its partner LeoVegas will support Safer Gambling Week at the club's League One match against Shrewsbury Town this Saturday.
During Saturday's match, LeoVegas' customary branding on Blackpool shirts will be replaced by essential messaging and insignia associated with Safer Gambling Week.
Safer Gambling Week began on Monday, November 13, and will continue until this Sunday, with the gambling industry, government, and regulators working together to encourage responsible gambling.
Blackpool claims to be "the only club across the EFL showcasing the safer gambling messaging on their front of shirts this weekend."
Sam Behar, LeoVegas Group Director for the UK and Ireland, stated, "Responsible gaming is key to our offering at LeoVegas.
"We are extremely delighted to be working with Blackpool and ensuring that all supporters are aware of the various tools we have available to protect our players' safety while playing.
"Safer Gambling Week is an important time of year, so ensuring that we replace our logo on the front of shirts to promote the week was critical for us at LeoVegas." We appreciate Blackpool's continuous support for this week and how we promote our commitment to responsible gaming.
Blackpool FC COO Jonty Castle added: "Safer Gambling Week is an important national initiative that both the football club and LeoVegas wanted to highlight this weekend.
"Raising awareness about the importance of safer gambling is critical, and Saturday's match will see us do so in a unique way, with LeoVegas replacing their front-of-shirt sponsorship with the 'Safer Gambling' logos." Along with important information, assistance, and advice available on our website and social media platforms, we and our valued partners at LeoVegas are spreading the word about Safer Gambling Week as widely as possible.
"We thank LeoVegas for their ongoing support and for the kind donation of their front-of-shirt sponsorship to such a worthy cause this weekend."
